SUMMARY:
We are adding a brand new position for a multi-tasking high energy manufacturing professional that likes supervising people and is skilled at problem solving in a complex fast paced precision manufacturing environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Direct supervision of the shipping/receiving, warehousing, machining and heat treating departments. Timing and scope based on experience and ability.
Key contributor to performance evaluation and management of your direct reports
Plan and release workflow according to customer demand.
Direct manufacturing operations to make sure that people and resources are used in an effective manner to meet delivery requirements.
Responsible for plant Safety and Quality.
Responsible for team members following defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
Work with Plant Leadership to develop and implement a Continuous Improvement plan for manufacturing.
Work with maintenance and leadership to plan around downtime, vacations and customer needs.
Understand shop work orders and process routings (including Quality specifications)
Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with company policies.
Provide product/process/manufacturing expertise within the team and respond to operator queries.
Effectively problem solve and work through barriers to customer On Time Delivery
KNOW-HOW, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of materials management, customer order and procurement procedures, and company policies and procedures
Blueprint reading, quality processes and gauging experience
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and routing
Analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate, perform independently and motivate the team to achieve deadlines
Exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals
Ability to lead by example, gain respect from the team and communicate with clarity while demonstrating excellence in approach to work and people activities
Change management experience is a plus
MRP/ERP system production is preferred
