　　POSITION DESCRIPTION:

　　This role is a key position in meeting project deliverables as part of sustaining and new product development teams working on manufacturing validation of welding power supplies and accessories using routine end of line electrical performance tests. Primary responsibilities will be to work with internal and external resources to design, develop, and manufacture testing equipment.

　　This role requires both strategic and tactical leadership with focus on design for parametric data collection methods and analysis. Primary responsibility will be to lead cross-functional teams through development and deploy stages of the new product development process including needs assessment, conceptualization, development, and final implementation.

　　What You Will Do:

　　Create, modify, and design electrical production test equipment adhering to Miller® documentation and testing standards.

　　Facilitate transfer of internal design requirements of test equipment to contract manufacturers as needed to meet project scope, timeline, and objectives.

　　Author block diagrams, electrical schematics, and documentation packages to ensure a full ownership delivery of the final design to the end customer.

　　Champion change by expanding parametric data collection and analysis to new and refreshed production lines for use in understanding process controls.

　　Enable production line test systems to monitor and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.

　　Communicate project status and escalation to leadership as needed.

　　Prioritize tasks, manage timelines , and effectively communicate progress and challenges to meet project deadlines and deliverables.

　　Leading, mentoring and training fellow employees to better understand Design for Test principles.

　　What You Will Need:

　　Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on Industrial Controls.

　　Proficient in using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools.

　　Working knowledge and experience with AC and DC electrical distribution.

　　Ability to design, specify, troubleshoot industrial controls systems such as power supplies, PLCs, HMIs, contactors, relays, circuit protection, connectors, wiring diagram/schematics, and wire harnesses.

　　Proficient in the use of electrical troubleshooting tools, and electrical safety equipment.

　　Ability to use statistical data analysis tools to investigate first pass yield data (e.g., Minitab, Six Sigma, …)

　　3 to 5 years’ experience with engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Visio, ...)
