As aProduct Owner III, you’ll be helping the building of Team CRST and finding ways to improve the technology of our drivers, agents, and driver support teams across the country. CRST Product Owners play a critical role in ensuring we deliver our promises and drive success.
This position is in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Job Summary:
The Product Owner III at CRST has curiosity and wants to learn and drive products for innovation. They will independently handle small to medium products with limited stakeholders, experience the functional design of the software product, work with Agile practices, and work with developers in building the software. This position will also be the single point of contact for their product lines.
Job Responsibilities:
The Product Owner is the primary point of contact for stakeholders and works closely with the development team to ensure that the product vision is realized in the final productUnderstand the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to the development team and other stakeholders.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize product features and requirements, and ensure that they align with the product vision and strategy and be the voice of the customer.
Organize and prioritize the product(s) backlog of requirements, manage priority, technical debt, bugs, and standard maintenance in a way that will deliver the key milestones identified on the roadmap in the committed timelines.
Work with the development team to identify and remove any impediments that may be preventing the team from delivering high-quality products.
Write and prioritize user stories, and work with the development team to ensure that they are refined and estimated appropriately.
Lead development teams with application designs, technical leads, and members in implementing the design through the agile delivery process
Write acceptance test cases and quality gate checks for functional releases.
Process - Participate in all related Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, backlog management, prioritization, demos, retrospectives, and others.
Maintain and distribute release notes to users, stakeholders, and other interested parties.
Maintain robust product and technical documentation and support other members in the creation of training, change management, and marketing materials related to the product(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Science / Technology or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst/Product Owner in developing requirements, writing use cases, and creating requirements documents and process flows focused in custom software development/ Platforms.
Experience working with Web/Mobile/ API applications involving customers and business transactions.
Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Confluence, and related tools.
Preferred with experience in writing SQL queries, data analysis, and validation.
Exposure to working with international team(s) and agile models.
Exposure to test scenario building and acceptance test cases.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Domain exposure to Transportation and Logistics is optional.
