Position Summary:
Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager works to drive membership growth through inbound and outbound marketing techniques for Academy offerings. The Product Marketing Manager will be a key member of the marketing team, driving the messaging and positioning of our product portfolio, identifying differentiators and formulating value propositions, developing useful sales collateral, ideating strategies for demand generation and client retention campaigns, partnering to deliver sales enablement, and supporting go-to-market efforts for our leading health system solutions.
The successful candidate will own the messaging and campaign strategy for a defined portion of The Academy’s products and services portfolio. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing product messaging for the deployment of existing as well as new products and serves as a subject matter expert relative to the sales positioning of each. Working closely with a variety of teams including sales, account management, and product, the Product Marketing Manager will oversee and create unique and consistent messaging and assets to realize marketing originated bookings goals and sales revenue targets.
Primary Job Duties:
Develops and implements marketing plans, campaigns and critical initiatives to drive market share & achieve sales targets, define product value propositions, key messaging, campaign approach, sales enablement and more.
Supports message and content development; collaborates with sales to ensure effective sales representative use of campaign materials.
Identifies the relevant market-facing positioning of key benefits for our products with the purpose of providing enablement assets and education to sales and strong marketing strategies focused on driving demand.
Leads the development of collateral and sales tools to promote the value of product features—including but not limited to—content drafting, illustrative thought leadership and competitive messaging alignment.
Provides subject matter expertise relative to our products for the purposes of designing campaigns, supporting RFPs, collaborating toward articles in industry publications and internal sales training materials.
Partners cross-functionally to provide guidance relative to the competitive aspects of our solutions. Helps to develop competitive positioning and targeting for current clients or prospects currently using competitive solutions.
Work with Sr. Director of Demand Generation to manage ongoing marketing tactical calendar to ensure timely development and launch of marketing tactics for assigned offerings.
Delivers product-related presentations and demonstrations for the purpose of developing internal sales knowledge and lead generation.
Serves as lead and project manager for the tactical execution of product marketing strategy for The Academy’s omni-channel marketing efforts, including media, website implementation, social engagement, and related digital drivers.
In partnership with cross-functional teams, supports market analysis activities, identifying key segment value drivers, growth opportunities, product positioning & customer segmentation/targeting.
Leads regular meetings with product and sales leaders to gather insights and solicit feedback on messaging, programs and tactics, provide marketing updates, gather competitive intelligence, and drive ideation discussions.
Collaborates with cross-functional to ensure alignment on brand strategy and creates a sense of urgency to ensure rapid completion of prioritized initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing required
5+ years’ experience in strategic or product marketing roles at B2B companies
Demonstrated strong communication skills - writing, presentation development, collateral development
Ability to partner cross-functionally
High proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Healthcare experience preferred
Interpersonal Skills & Attributes:
Experience managing product marketing strategy including customer segmentation, value propositions, key messaging, product positioning, and client-centric story development
Experience developing and managing marketing related to the entire product life cycle
Experience creating and managing integrated marketing campaigns
Ability to translate product and feature capabilities into easily understood value-driven messages that can be used for multiple purposes
Ability to communicate product information in a concise and understandable manner that can be used by sales personnel to enhance their ability to sell
Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems
Must enjoy working with information that is technical in nature and tailoring that information for both lay and specialized audiences
High emotional intelligence
Proven ability to collaborate with, and support multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Confidence and poise when presenting to and interacting with executive leadership

Compensation:
Salary starting at $100,000 and up plus benefits
