Description/Job Summary
The Product Manager, Member Engagement will play a critical role in developing and managing ASHP's digital member engagement platform (MEP), a digital platform that will deliver a 360-degree view of the member experience, create frictionless communication to our membership, and optimize data capture. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in product management including gathering, documenting, and prioritizing requirements, defining the product vision, developing and managing the product road map, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve sustained product relevance and value. This role will require strong communication and presentation skills.
This position will be based onsite in our Bethesda, MD office, and the employee in this role will be working in a hybrid environment, consistent with Association-wide ASHP policies applicable to HQ-based employees. What You'll Be Doing:
Collaborates with ASHP staff and a selected member advisory group to develop, define, and refine requirements and functionality for the membership engagement platform.
Works closely with Market & Member Insights team to conduct regular research on member needs related, but not limited to, their education and CE goals, licensure requirements, interests, and engagement with ASHP membership, products, and services.
Develops a product strategy and roadmap for long-term product viability.
Works closely with vendor partners and stakeholders to ensure product design and development of the membership engagement platform fully aligns with requirements.
Manages product life cycle, project plans, timelines, and resource allocation in coordination with a project manager and IT internal staff.
Communicates and coordinates with ASHP teams, stakeholders and ASHP membership, including product demos, presentations, and announcements.
Assists in testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving issues and ancillary products affecting the requirements for the membership engagement platform.
Works with external partner and internal IT team to produce and test membership engagement platform prototypes, features, and functionality.
What You Bring to ASHP:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience guiding the execution of product management activities and facilitating stakeholder engagement, communications, and training personnel.
Experience working across teams, specifically IT projects and programs.
Ability to translate requirements into product design goals and business objectives.
Experience with researching, analyzing and making recommendations as it relates to product development and product management
Proficient in communication, change management, and mobilizing and engaging stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience coordinating internal communications and tasks with stakeholders.
Strong presentation and demonstration skills to promote the adoption of new tools to both internal and external stakeholders.
Must be able to engage audiences across remote environments.
Strong expertise in defining member/customer needs, larger business objectives and translating that into a product or feature that will fulfill that need.
Proficient understanding of digital marketing channels and digital analytics.
Some experience and familiarity with UX design principles, IT product development desired, but not required.
