An exciting role for an experienced Product Manager to lead and drive the execution of marketing strategies for our Cardiac Ablation Solutions business. In this role you will enable revenue growth and deliver on business targets through new product launch impact, market development and market share gain. In this role you will ensure the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business leverage the strengths to enable many more patients to benefit from our technologies, solutions, and services.
Cardiac Ablation Solutions offers cardiac mapping and ablation solutions to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. It is focused on disrupting and leading the market with advanced ablation catheters, cardiac mapping systems, and conventional EP products.
A Day in the Life
The Product Manager working within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions business is responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for Medtronic’s Electrophysiology (EP) product portfolio comprising of Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA), Diamond Temp (RF), Cryoablation (Cryo), Transseptal crossing and 3D mapping & navigation solutions. This includes involvement in developing and implementing marketing strategies and partnership on clinical education and engagement programs to drive brand preference among Key Opinion Leaders and the broader EP community. This person is an experienced marketer of highly technical and clinical products and demonstrates strength in product launches, marketing communications, commercialization, implementation and execution of short term and long-term marketing plans.
This role reports to the Regional Business Director and offers flexibility to be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
Your responsibilities will include:
Core Marketing capabilities: Understanding EP market dynamics in Australia & New Zealand, market segmentation, product positioning, message development, pricing, channel identification, sales message & collateral creation, and execution to meet business objectives.
Determine short term & long-term marketing plans that are clear and specific for the launch of new products. Working with other internal functional groups to help execute on the marketing plan.
Contributes toward the development of an annual marketing budgets. Forecasts future needs, utilizing previous year's budget, current objectives, and budget guidelines. Manages marketing budget.
Proposes the allocation of resources to assist in managing products' life cycle from concept through retirement by assessing needs and objectives.
Develops promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed to external stakeholders through various channels.
Support sales initiatives through clinical data dissemination, education, resources & collateral creation
Anticipate competitive activities, monitor competitive pipelines, and strategically respond to competitive initiatives and marketing campaigns.
Serve as key liaison with external partners, collaborating in the creation of new marketing tools, sales/physician training, and evidence strategies.
Develops recommendations on appropriate prices for new products and on pricing and positioning strategies.
Represents the company by visiting accounts in order to solicit feedback on company products and services.
Organizes physician symposiums by working with assigned staff in commissioning doctors to participate and working with internal departments to promote and schedule events.
Creates the Integrated Business Plan & Strategic Plan for Leadership review.
Must Have
Degree qualifications.
Experience creating impactful marketing plans and developing value propositions, positioning, and targeting via different marketing channels.
Proven track record of Physician and KOL engagement
5+ years of work experience in product marketing within medical devices
Demonstrated knowledge of 3D electrophysiology mapping and navigation systems.
Ability to travel up to 25% required. Valid driver’s licence required.
