The freedom to pursue new ideas, offer different perspectives, and grow in your career is fundamental to working at Dorman.Plans, organizes, and controls assigned product line from conception through product life cycle for optimal profit and to achieve marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Drive business growth and performance at product category level; co-developing and co- leading/influencing customer, pricing, sourcing and service strategies.Directly/indirectly manage 1 to 5 cross-functional product teams. Actively think long-term strategy (12-24 months) and planning accordingly to sustain and drive initiatives to successful completion.

  Primary Duties (Key responsibilities):Manages APMs and CoordinatorsEstablishes product road map, produce category and customer line reviews and go market strategyDefines category pricing and add strategiesDefines market messages and ensures all marketing copy, product descriptions, etc. are correct and accurately reflect message and positionsCreates and delivers engaging presentations with influence to support sellingPerforms pricing reviewsSets forecast for new addsCollaborates with customers and Tech LineAttends national tradeshowsProactively follows-up with account managers on a consistent basicEstablishes and drive project prioritiesMaintains the pulse of the market and competitor landscapeIs recognized as a credible, marketplace Subject Matter Expert on the product lineResearches and stay informed of market and technology trendsChampions and advocates product linesSupports Sales team through ongoing education, line reviews, and trainingCreates and sets sample, Operating Income (OI) and New budgets for product linesManages profitability for assigned product lineOther duties as assigned

  Qualifications:Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.Prior experience working and leading cross functional teamsMust possess strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization and move projects through the organization with minimal directionExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and specifically Excel including pivot tables and v-lookupsMust be willing to travel 10% of the time and occasional weekend responsibilityPhysical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds.Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.Noise level is usually moderate.

  Education or experience:B.S. degree in Business or minimum of 5 years work experienceMinimum of 2 years' experience in Product Management, Marketing, Product Engineering or Strategic sourcing with a strong focus on new product
