　　Our interns will be part of a Sustaining Engineering team and you will work alongside Product Design Engineers; supporting the design, debug, validation and optimization of the products. You will be involved in projects from pre-production development through manufacturing, gaining exposure to the complete product development lifecycle. You will also support engineering builds gaining experience with high volume manufacturing. Some positions may require international travel.

　　Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks with start dates in Jun - Sep 2024. Our internship program provides hands-on learning and building experiences for students who are interested in a career in hardware engineering. In addition to working on an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for professional development, expand your network, and participate in activities (e.g., team building, social, educational, etc.) with other interns throughout your internship.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　• Research into materials and component technologies to evaluate development opportunities.

　　• Design features and test to meet program objectives.

　　• Conduct test failure analysis and solution validation to complete successful product development.

　　• Detail part design and product documentation.

　　• Field failure analysis and solution evaluation for production product issues.

　　A day in the life

　　As a Sustaining PD Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of post ramp qualification, field return failure analysis and design/ production yield improvement initiatives. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Graduate between Sep 2024 to Sep 2025, currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Design, Product Design, or a related field.

　　Oral & writing fluently English, Chinese.

　　Availability to complete a 3-month full time internship during summer holiday.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Strong passion for consumer electronics and a keen eye for engineering & design aesthetics.

　　Proficiency in design software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or similar.

　　Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

　　Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

　　Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

　　Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in consumer electronics is a plus.
