  Within Packaging Capex MRO and Utilities, the Procurement Manager - Capex & MRO, SA is responsible for the sourcing strategy development, implementation and procurement of all engineering spends related to construction, maintenance and operations of Unilever plants and green field/ brown field projects in South Asia region incl. India, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.

  This role will increase effectiveness of our Capex & MRO procurement by creating an expertise-driven model, streamlining accountabilities, building capabilities, developing market alternatives, and leveraging knowledge, relationships, and business strategies across markets to bring the best value sourcing solutions for various projects.

  The person will increase efficiency of our Capex and MRO procurement by driving scale where it makes sense, lowering fragmentation, leveraging global supply bases, prioritizing higher impact spend areas, leveraging technology and data, and delivering on best practices.

  Key Accountabilities:Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies relevant for capex projects and its execution for factories across the region and new Greenfield projects. Deep understanding of Sourcing of process equipment, appreciation of engineering designs for large Projects.Lead sourcing for large projects- Deep knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, utilities, structure & civil packages, cost benchmarks, cost drivers, future RM price movements and risk mitigation, leverage local and global supply base to get best value deals for the project. Ability to Independently lead sourcing of large value and complex CAPEX packages including negotiation planning and execution (Civil and Structure works, Pre-engineered building structure, Electrical and Instrumentation, Fire detection and fighting, Insulation and Steam tracing etc., ASRSs, MHEs and recking solutions)Evaluate and facilitate Decision making process- product life cycle costs, spares and consumables cost, services cost (TCO analysis) Detailed analysis and decision for 'Award of business' to suppliers in alignment with Procurement/ Project leadership.Legal agreements drafting with Legal counsel, negotiation with suppliers to finalise the contracts.Support the project team in identifying new capable suppliers, Supplier assessment (commercial, technical) and final supplier selection. Multiple Stake holder management both Internal and external i.e., Project leadership & Teams, legal counsel/ agencies, Finance, Global Procurement and SuppliersParticipate and contribute to Governance meetings, weekly & monthly project review meetings (from procurement perspective) RFQ process management- Float RFQs, secure offers, receive TBA/CBA from Project team, collate and prepare a negotiation plan, conduct negotiations to conclude deals (familiarity with e-tenders preferred), award business.MIS reporting: Project procurement plan, Project related KPIs reporting. Compliance to 'Schedule of Authority' applicable for the project, countryExperience Required:

  Qualification/experienceEngineering graduate (any discipline) is necessary. (Post-Graduation in Engineering or Management, procurement certifications will be an added advantage)A minimum of 10 years' experience in a technical procurement position, including large project sourcing Excellent/proven Negotiation skills for sourcing of high value complex packages Experience in Negotiating and finalizing legal contracts for projects.South Asia markets and 'Projects related supply base' knowledge is a must; Global market knowledge will be an added advantage.Fluent in Oral and written EnglishAbility to operate independently.Proactive, Collaborative, positive team player with ability to lead teams.Good knowledge of MS- Word, excel, Power BI and power point.   15% time for within India/ region travel. 1 to 2 international trips per year.
