Description

Work closely with various teams to ensure procurement aligns with production requirements.

Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers.

Contribute to strategic planning and cost-saving initiatives.

Source and develop new suppliers to maintain a competitive edge and reduce risk.

Establish and enforce procurement policies in line with regulations and company standards.

Assess bids, select suppliers, and manage contracts effectively.

Oversee inventory levels and refine procurement processes to cut costs and boost efficiency.

Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting procurement.

Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Resolve procurement-related issues or disputes promptly.

Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in purchasing within a food manufacturing environment, with a preference for perishable goods.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.

Skills:

Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
