About Procurement Business Partner

Operational Excellence

Provides feedback on global strategies to be consolidated in voice of geography communication helps drive strategy implementation at Country and Hub level

Maintains routine Country checks to ensure knowledge of and movement in alignment with the Company strategy

Establishes routine Hub reviews to ensure One Sanofi/One Procurement approach, collaborates with Hub teams along with Domains and key business partners to ensure efficiency, delivery and the best user experience

Works with Country Finance BPs, local commercial leads, S2P colleagues and local councils to understand, confirm and support procurement pipeline with integration into budgetary process, including the Hub Opex consolidation and validation

Develops, in collaboration with COGS team, business partnership with MS site stakeholders (Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Technical teams, Quality, SMS, …)

Collaborates with Procurement Transformation Excellence function to bring external perspectives, good/best practices KPIs into Sanofi/Procurement Country and Hub

Establishes and oversees means by which to monitor progress on key initiatives within the Country and Hub and how to effectively express them

Supports realignment processes as necessary in the Procurement evolution and Continuous improvement, connecting with other Country Hub Managers

Drives efficiency and connects end to end procurement processes and specific S2P tools to Country and Hub level use with a holistic view and incorporating use of AI

Maintains a high and comprehensive knowledge and awareness of the different processes associated to Source to Pay (S2P), and helps drive process improvement, simplification user experience associated with them at Country level and Hub using agile and lean approach

Attends specific geographical SRM programs as voice of region to guide relationship with key vendors, validates supplier segmentation, and critical vendors for the Country and Hub

Attends specifics meetings to support in resource allocation and talent recruitment along with PC

Support local business projects and maintains One Sanofi mindset and approach, and Ad-hoc participation in MCO projects and activities

Works with COGS team (PSLs/Cluster Heads whom are in charge of IA sites) to support COGS sites and ensuring pipeline is taken into account

Works to deliver value through a pipeline of local initiatives with local vendors that may not have group contracts driving value through negotiation, benchmark or site manufacturing efficiency (eg: spec change, design to value, etc….)

Works with COGS team (PSLs/Cluster Heads whom are in charge of IA sites) to support COGS sites and ensuring pipeline is taken into account with overall GBU 3rd party expenses cost reduction goals reducing site material sourcing risk exposure

Learning Offer

· Is the go-to expert on specific local and geographical ways of working and provides expert guidance for Sanofi team as necessary

· Understands needs of local Hub organization and ensures procurement training is in tune with these needs (upskill and reskill) and or provides guidance on topics to local and Hub organization to support tool/process usage

· Builds network to understand country context, market benchmarks, available expertise and contents within Procurement and Business Units

· Explores novel technologies and applications of their local/MCO vendor base, aligned with our domain team members, to understand how they can be applied to geography and Hub

Compliance

· Supports alignment plans for the implementation of global procurement policies and oversees the process to completion

· Identifies with Global Category Managers (GCMs) within the Domain and/or Hub team the requirements regarding Risk/CSR/Compliance and highlights gaps for closure

· Maintains comprehensives understanding of Local/MCO and Hub Policies/Processes related to Risk/CSR/Compliance and ensures that these are taken into account across procurement strategies

· As necessary, coordinates with Domains and/or Hubs team the follow-up of required vendor evaluation processes such as they are related to Risk/CSR/Compliance

· Supports as necessary specific local country/MCO and Hub audits (eg. Internal, SEC)

· Promotes good practices holistically

· Maintains procurement Business Continuity Plan at a Local and Hub level

Communication

· Maintains peer to peer relationships with Country leaders and Business Partners

· Maintains presence and interaction on behalf of procurement on local councils

· Aligns at the country and Hub level on Priorities and Strategies in a matrix organization, integrating Business, MCO, Regional and Global Inputs

· Establishes and helps to maintain a centralized knowledge repository as the procurement single point of contact representative for the geography, and promotes one single source of truth/data

· Leads Communication programs within the geography for all Procurement Team Members as necessary

· Provides input from the geography for communication flow down to ensure adoption/awareness of Global initiatives

· Identifies needs for generic communication materials across the geography and leads in development of such materials in close liaison with Procurement Communication team BPs

· Foster a common culture and mindset amongst the team members at Hub level

· Escalate any potential risk that could jeopardize the business

Digital/Intelligence

· Collaborates with colleagues within and across Domains, Hubs S2P to identify and benchmark practices so as to identify areas of improvement

· Supports the deployment of the Procurement Digital roadmap within the geography

· Identifies means by which and undertakes benchmarking against other industries

· Will work with their team for the deployment of any new tools and/or processes to be used by the Procurement team in order to support and improve position of Sanofi on Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) or similar

People Management (if applicable)

· Promotes a positive agenda within the local and Hub procurement community, ensuring proper communication and best practices sharing

· Supports the definition and organization design of Procurement Operations Team

· Develops and maintains a means by which to track and monitor HC expenses for their Country and Hub works with Finance to align and ensure visibility

· Prepares, performs, contributes and ensures proper holistic talent management including but not limited to target setting, succession planning, calibration, mentoring, providing recognition, etc…

· Promote recognition culture of a high performance

· Support recruitment of talent at Hub level, ensuring the Core Procurement Competencies according to the Framework

Qualifications

Education/language

· Degree from accredited college of university relevant to the position

· 3 - 10 years working experience relevant to the position

· Fluent in English both spoken and written

Knowledge/skills/experience

· Ability to manage across a country level with diverse business partners

· Ability to travel up to 10% of working time

· Knowledge of best-in-class Procurement techniques and processes

· Ability to influence across Operational, Management levels and across functions

· Solid competency in networking across various stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes

· Demonstrable skills in deploying change management initiatives

· Good communication skills with ability to adapt style and approach according to audience

· Analytical skills and ability to utilize tools/systems accordingly

· Ability to work independently with multitask approach

· Able to quickly assimilate new information/skills

· Holds a multicultural mindset

· Demonstrates willingness and ability to challenge the status quo

· Role model in compliance and ethics

Preferred:

· Prior procurement/organization Hub matrix working environment experience

· Post-bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (e.g., Masters, MBA, etc…) in procurement, sales, finance, business or equivalent

· Language skills relevant to the geographies served is a plus
