POSITION SUMMARY: As Process Engineering Technician, you will providetechnical support to the process engineers to ensure production goalsare met. You will ensure productivity improvements are made acrosssafety, efficiency, and cost. In this pivotal role you will use strongstatistical, analytical, and decision-making skills while operating witha sense of urgency. This role also involves working on aHigh-Performance Team, and mentoring others on new equipment and/orprocesses. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Assist in thereview of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment andprocesses to validate improvement process capabilities. ? Review, reviseand draft standard operating procedures (SOPs), including workinstructions, process documents, batch cards. ? Trouble shoot andproblem solve production floor processes through review of manufacturingdocumentation to escalate issues relating to processes on the shopfloor. ? Train operators, supervisors, and other employees on newequipment and/or new processes. ? Maintain a safe environment andsupport process improvements related to safety, including environmentaland ergonomics. ? Provide technical and administrative support toprocess engineering team including data collection, data entry andfiling. ? Perform A3 root cause analysis and implement correctiveactions, PPAP Activities (i.e.P-Maps/Controls/FMEA reviews & updates)and support new part and ECO approves. ? Support the Process Engineersin leading the Cost (productivity) site wide star point team, andprovide cost reduction/ productivity improvements through the support ofcontinuous improvement (value stream) projects in a High PerformanceTeam. ? Perform all other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS ANDDESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES: Education and Experience: ? Mustbe a US Citizen or hold Permanent US Resident Status. ? High schooldiploma or general education degree (GED) required. ? Minimum of 3 yearsof manufacturing /technical experience, preferably in a qualitycapacity; prefer Associates degree or higher in a technical discipline.? Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem solving (i.e. fishbone,5Why?s), Six Sigma Green Belt a plus. ? Proficient in Microsoft Officeincluding Excel, Word & PowerPoint and preferably have technical writingexperience (SOPs, work instructions, safety documents) ? Must possess ahigh degree of personal organization and excellent communication skills,both written and verbal to work with others
