Job Summary
Provide engineering technical support and design input for projects
Assist with conception, development, and implementing manufacturing processes
Technically document procedures and processes
Collaborate with purchasing, production, quality, contract management, and outside vendors to set and meet schedules and accommodate other customer requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for continuous improvement and for resolutions to manufacturing problems including processes, machines, or programming problems
Assist with the development of new, automated processes using available software
Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
Assist with support of production equipment and processes.
“Hands-on” position working closely with production processes and operators to ensure quality and timely delivery to the customer.
Perform other assignments as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes together with work measurement and work standards
Proficient in technical writing, good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical
Required: able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Prior experience with an ISO-9000 AS-9000 environment is a plus
Demonstrated analytical expertise including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities
Understanding of DOE, 6-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing desired
Advanced level of computer skills in e-mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Microsoft Project
Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business
Negotiation and conflict management skills together with demonstrated experience troubleshooting and problem-solving
Flexible with high energy, able to handle multiple tasks smoothly
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical systems in support of production processing equipment.
Ability and willingness to work safely with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals used within the manufacturing process.
Experience and aptitude for facilitating groups of people to achieve consensus.
Knowledge of Circuit Card assembly, equipment, and processes.
Required Experience and Education
4 year technical: BS IE, BSEE, BSEET, or BSME is preferred
1 – 2 years experience in engineering functions consistent with the specific position requirements
