DescriptionPosition SummaryPurpose of a lifeguard is to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.Essential FunctionsLifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe environment.Ensures safety of staff, members and guests in pool area.Maintains safe environment at all times, keeping pool deck dry, clean, and clear of obstacles.Perform water tests on pools and spas at specified times. Report any problems to supervisor or building manager immediately.Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
