As the Private Excursions Manager, you will lead all aspects of the development supporting our global private experiences' portfolio. You will work alongside our third-party vendors and internal partners to build all tour customizations and assist in the development of pre-designed tailor-made experiences. You will coordinate the procurement, negotiation, and new product development of unforgettable private experiences!
You will report to the Mgr-Product Development.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading the growth of private, group, and VIP tour arrangements as well as maintaining private tour programs and vendor relationships.
Seek out guest contact! Liaise directly with guests to understand their travel preferences and build unique experiences that surpass the guests’ expectations.
Collaborate with shipboard operations, Assistant & Regional Managers to coordinate both the operational and revenue-related aspects of the private tour operations.
Lead private incentives and group tours to individuals seeking exclusive or valued big group experiences.
Partner with Business Systems Management, Concierge & VIP Services, Disney Cruise Line Marketing, Public Relations, Operations Integration, and Guest Services regarding private and/or group tours.
Stay closely aligning with digital and marketing partners to build a cohesive and impactful promotional strategy to generate demand for private port adventures.
Innovate new product lines and implement improvements in current offerings, prices, and processes to meet revenue targets for the fleet; partner with the Cruise Activities team to implement all changes and additions to the online inventory in Seaware for Port Adventures.
Partner with Cruise Activities and Guest Communications on all communication to guests seeking exclusive or group experiences.
Support the Concierge team to ensure all guest inquiries are handled and responded to on time.
Negotiate annual price increases with third-party vendors to stay competitive in the market.
Serve as the point of contact for private and/or group development and operational problem resolution and represent the department in various committees and meetings across the organization.
Lead our accessibility focus.
Support the Regional Managers in developing products that meet the unique needs of each region and to develop port portfolios in each destination.
For areas of responsibility, coordinate documentation and updating SMS as it relates to safety and environmental matters and LOG guidance on any other processes.
Responsible for department needs as it pertains to Walt Disney World Corporate Insurance and Disney Cruise Line Risk Management to collect business licenses, insurance certificates, and other required information.
Basic Qualifications
3 years’ experience in the private excursion/group/VIP tours sector.
A solid understanding of the European private vehicles' business.
Open to travel to develop Private Excursions.
Possess a passion for organization, initiating problem-solving and teamwork.
Has shown proficiency and proven experience using Microsoft Windows & Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to lead several projects at a time and to independently prioritize and meet timelines.
Communicates effectively and with poise both verbally and in writing, all while having excellent listening skills and outstanding professionalism.
Shown ability to handle confidential information.
Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
Desired Qualifications
3 years’ experience in the travel/tour industry handling third-party vendors.
Familiarity and experience with the travel/excursion/recreation industry.
Required Education
Bachelor or associate degree in Tourism/Hospitality or related area of study or equivalent work experience.#DCLPJ
