Here, you will make an impact by:Produce Technical standards and practices, documentation, and direction for the Office Printing space, and also HP printers used in non-Office roles.Global Print Device Fleet security and configuration standardsGlobal Print Server setup and management standardsHow-tos and documents pertaining to print application use and management.Administer global HP print device fleet.Primary admin for 3M Center and adjacent buildingsConsultant admin for HP Printers elsewhere: Site/Country IT leads get final authority.Manage firmware updates, device security, discovery, and network device inventories.Assess, architect, test, deploy, and administer Print applications.HP Access Control (3M Cloud Printing)HP Web JetadminJetAdmin Security CenterHP Secure Print (future Cloud Print solution)Administer lab and testing environmentsPrint Device Lab in 224-basementTest print servers and application serversDedicated test workstations in Citrix platformPerform testing and validation on incoming printer models; and pursuant to any proposed changes in config standards.Testing and validation of any print driver or application changes, updates, or new version deployments.Support for printers and print applications.Service tickets pertaining to Cloud Print system (problems, new device adds, etc.).Engage vendor support for owned Print applications.Final escalation point for HP printer problems/class-level issues.Consult and advise local IT regarding print-related problems and questions.Manage problem escalation to HP or relevant vendor when required.General consultation for any other non-standard application or environment printing issues (SAP, Mainframe, Citrix, Linux, Acquisitions, etc.)ITSM CI Hardware Swap and new CI registration approvals. Custodian for Print related AD Security groups and NPSAs.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionORHigh School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and four (4) years of IT experienceThree (3) years of print platforms experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience with HP Office PrintingExperience with Zebra label printersExperience working in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc.)Cross-functional IT expertise (applications, security network and database infrastructure)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to create effective and engaging communicationsExcellent interpersonal and team collaboration skillsCustomer service mindset and sense of urgencyExperience working in a large, multi-national corporationFor current employees, internal transfer restrictions may not apply.
