　　Job Description

　　AECOM is expanding its dynamic Civil Infrastructure business in Sydney and are looking for an experienced Principal Water Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team.

　　Our services include network and treatment planning and design for water, wastewater and recycled water projects.

　　The role of a Principal Water Engineer is critical to delivering projects on-time, to a high-quality and ensuring the ongoing collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. Depending on the scope of the projects, the Principal Engineer can typically be involved in multiple projects – effectively managing their time and dedicating the correct resources to each project.

　　You will have world class people around you to achieve your results, including (but not limited to) our renowned structural engineering and ground engineering teams based in the same office and supported on a global scale, but one of your key challenges will be to prioritize your tasks on an ongoing basis, so it will be important to be organised and confident in your ability.

　　Your daily role will include a nice mix of using your technical and management skills. Technical works might include planning and design work, whereas management works will include management of projects, clients and mentoring junior engineers.

　　The role will involve you working in a team with a strong culture, a diverse project portfolio and you will have opportunities to take advantage of AECOM’s global reach.

　　Qualifications

　　As a Principal Water Engineer, you will be engaged, excited by project delivery and the successful integration of varied specialist and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

　　What are we looking for from you?

　　Extensive years of relevant consultant experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a design (including design & construction) environment

　　Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution – water, recycled water, sewerage – all things Water Infrastructure

　　Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices.

　　Inspired to provide technical direction, mentor and train our junior members within the team.

　　If possible, for you to be confident to utilise your reputation in bringing business to AECOM through networking and delivering high quality work.

　　Champion new ideas, encouraging initiative and promoting innovative techniques and actions.
