　　Azure Hardware Health Service is looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to be a part of the fast-paced and exciting business of Azure. 　　This is a hands-on management and technical leadership role where your focus on coaching and continuous improvement in capability will be fundamental to you and your team’s success.  

　　You will be responsible for leading and growing a dedicated and focused team.

　　Providing thoughtful feedback, nurturing an inclusive environment, championing engineering fundamentals, and providing mentorship to team members to growth. 

　　Design, develop and operate large scale, low latency, and high throughput cloud services. 

　　Provide overarching technical leadership and direction to a team of large mission critical cloud services focused developers to deliver global scale services to support the fleet hardware resilience. 

　　Being an active leader in Azure infrastructure eco-system, work closely with partner teams to ensure highly effective and reliable end-to-end solutions.   

　　Continuously building your technical knowledge and improving our ability to deliver quality solutions. 

　　Qualifications

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

　　OR equivalent experience.

　　6+ years of experience shipping or running complex production systems that run on public cloud. 

　　5+ years of hands-on experience in leading architecture for large scale systems, designing and coding on mission critical scalable distributed systems and running live site.

　　3+ years of people management experience.

　　Other Requirements:

　　Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience with Cloud fundamental infrastructure services.

　　Familiar with Azure or Bing.

　　7+ years’ experience of shipping cloud services and having been through at least one development cycle.

　　Experience planning, scheduling and delivering high quality software.

　　Experience working in collaborative teams and cross-group efforts.

　　Experience working in a global environment.

　　Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

　　Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
