We are looking for a Application Software Developer who will motivate and guide a team in the Commerce Organization. This team will design and develop software building bridges from legacy solutions to distributed solutions. You should be comfortable supporting distributed systems that interact with a variety of services. You should enjoy building effective organizations, coaching and mentoring engineers, and representing your organization to senior leadership. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Your excellent judgment and strong communication skills will be invaluable when defining the roadmap for your areas of ownership. The right candidate for this role will make all the difference for our organization, our product, and our customers.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience

8+ years of experience in developing software to build complex applications

Experience with building teams, onboarding new engineers

2+ years of using Agile Methodologies

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of cloud computing networking technologies

Prior experience with configuration management

Experience developing automated test suites

Experience with Jira, Confluence, BitBucket

Proficiency with Java/Python and Object Oriented programming

Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
