Job Overview:
McDermott’s Global Operations department is looking for a Project Data Manager
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Preparation of the Data Management Execution Plan for the project
Specify and coordinate the processes and tools for data collection, validation consolidation and handover to the Client
Co-ordinates and manages the data input & requirements throughout project execution across multiple engineering applications (from Hexagon/AVEVA)
Detect and manage project scope changes in Data Management
Single point of contact to project management and to the Client for Data Management topics
Translate project specific information requirements into efficient system configurations and related user instructions
Prepare functional specification and manage the development and implementation of project specific applications and/or interfaces
Liaise with [global] project teams (& Vendors, Sub-contractors as required) to promote, explain and ensure compliance with Data Collection requirements and assist as required to support timely delivery of information
Plan and co-ordinate the day-to-day data management activities and collection processes
Ensure compliance with the Data Quality Management Framework
Liaise with Construction and/or Completions team personnel to ensure commissioning/operational hand-over requirements are understood & being met
Capture lessons learned, best practices and ensure their embedding in the organization.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or IT, or equivalent work experience in Information Management.
Minimum 5 years’ experience Data Manager on FEED, EPC and EPCF projects
Fully familiar with Engineering, Procurement, Construction project execution requirements for Data Management.
Conversant with modern ISO-15926 / CFIHOS / JIP initiatives, database driven engineering tools and integrated engineering,
Experience of managing data teams
Good understanding of 2D & 3D intelligent applications and data used
Good experience in one or more engineering disciplines (piping, structural, E&I)
Good analytical skills and communication and interpersonal skills
