Responsible for pre-sales and post-sales Technical support in the sale of Cadence Software's Verification IP products. Will provide technical presentations, product demonstrations, manage customer evaluations and run benchmarks. Must have a strong background in verification and verification methodologies with some design experience. Field Applications Engineers are expected to manage multiple customer issues concurrently. Must understand multiple HDL methodologies with emphasis placed on the verification and design process. They need to be able to clearly articulate how Cadence product offerings fit into those methodologies. Field Applications Engineers work with Account Managers to meet and exceed quota, and they proactively manage customer accounts to success. Field Applications Engineers are expected to play an active role in account planning, where they work as part of the account team to develop the solutions to customer problems by bringing their technical understanding of the customer needs and issues. The end goal is to successfully help deploy and integrate the Verification IP product line into the customer's environment.
Requirements;
BSEE or equivalent required with 5+ years of relevant experience * Strong Verilog Skills and exposure to Design Verification * Excellent verbal and written presentation and communications skills * Strong interest and understanding of verification methodologies * Ability to multiplex many issues, champion & set priorities in the best interest of the customer * Knowledge of, experience with UNIX, Python scripting * Strong problem solving skills
Working knowledge of HDL, HVL(OVM,UVM), System C * Working Knowledge with main stream protocols such as AMBA/PCI-E/USB/Ethernet
