  A Day in The Life

  Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  Requirements Elicitation: Collaborate with Systems engineers and Architects, and other key stakeholder to gather and understand software requirements. Leverage requirement engineering best practices to elicit detailed and clear requirements that address the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

  Requirements Analysis: Analyze and prioritize software requirements, ensuring they are feasible, measurable, and aligned with project objectives. Identify potential conflicts, ambiguities, and gaps in requirements and work towards their resolution.

  Requirements Documentation: Document software requirements using appropriate tools and techniques, such as use cases, user stories, functional specifications, and non-functional requirements. Maintain clear and well-organized requirement documents for easy reference and traceability.

  Requirement Validation and Verification: Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure that the software meets the specified requirements. Review and validate software design documents and participate in test plan reviews to verify that the implemented solution aligns with the defined requirements.

  Change Management: Manage requirements changes and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the change control process. Maintain version control of requirement documents to track and document changes over time.

  Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are clearly understood and communicated across the development team. Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate a shared understanding of requirements.

  Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure that software requirements are well-defined, consistent, and complete. Work towards continuous improvement in requirement engineering processes to enhance the quality of delivered software.

  Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with software requirements and propose mitigating strategies to ensure project success. Analyze the impact of changes to requirements on project timelines and deliverables.

  Requirements Traceability: Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, design artifacts, test cases, and software deliverables to ensure that all aspects of the software development process are aligned with the defined requirements.

  Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.

  Nice to Have

  Proven experience in software requirement engineering, preferably in an agile development environment.

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex requirements into actionable tasks.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  Experience in medical device or regulated industries.

  Familiarity with requirement management tools and methodologies.

  Knowledge of software development processes and lifecycle management.

  Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
