Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE
The role exists to build strategies for the Company’s strategic pricing, HTA- HEOR and innovative access solutions to accelerate access in country’s public & private healthcare ecosystem to advance standards of care and access to healthcare in rare and underserved disease conditions. Incumbent develops pricing and access solution strategies in alignment with Regional and Global guidelines with necessary localization in accordance with the legal and compliance framework. Responsible for all HTA -HEOR initiatives and pricing approvals for the LOC with support from region and manages adherence to the pricing guidelines within the LOC. Works in close coordination with franchise, finance, tendering, regional/global pricing and HEOR teams.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Price Strategy of Existing Portfolio: Develops Pricing strategies for the existing products with Franchise and Finance through in-depth opportunity mapping, competitive intelligence, and product prioritization, while ensuring alignment with regional and global guidelines for LOC.
New Launches:
Leads pricing workstream for all new product business cases, including market research.
Collaborates with Business Operations, Finance and Franchise on business case creation and approvals, while maintaining sight of regional and global pricing guidelines
Supports Maximum Retail Price setting with Franchise and Finance.
Price Exception Cases and Change requests:
Responsible for all annual / special price exception cases (PEC) and co-monitors LOC adherence to pricing approvals and local laws along with Tender and Finance team
Tracks the price and volume consumption of PEC approved brands and work with regional and global pricing teams to support business needs.
Documents all PECs in PriceRight Unity and secures necessary LOC and regional approvals.
Analyzing price change requests from the sales team basis potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels
Price Execution:
Partners with the Franchise and Tender teams for identifying the right pricing for ER, SR and OOP opportunities.
Creates and maintains data-backed tools and methodologies for identifying the right pricing maximizing the chances of winning while generating the best value for the organization.
Price Governance:
Leads pricing process governance for Public and OOP markets through data-backed price-volume bands and price setting.
Maintains Pricing Approval systems (Tender Analysis and Approvals Dossier currently) with support from Tender and Finance. Explores digitization opportunity for the approval system with Data, Digital and Technology team.
Creates and updates monthly pricing dashboards to provide pricing related to competitor and payer insights and intelligence to internal functions that helps analyze the price health and financial impact. Well-versed with visualization solutions (Power BI, Tableau etc.)
Works with Data, Digital and Technology team to transform the pricing dashboards into live dashboards.
Innovative Access:
Co-creates Market and Innovative Access solutions to increase access for Takeda therapies among the Indian patients. These solutions include PAPs, Financial Contracts, Portfolio Contracts and Value-based Contracts.
Value Propositions:
Leads the capability building and execution of Health Economics and Outcomes Research through creation of new white papers / journal publications through third party engagement or localization of existing Takeda studies.
Leads Health Technology Submissions for prioritized products in PMJAY / other relevant schemes.
Supports creation of product Value Dossiers for key products

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Must be Graduate preferably in commerce and finance stream with an overall pharma experience of atleast 8-10 years plus including the domain of Market Access , Pricing, HEOR - HTA and Patient Assistance Programs
Must be strong in Analytical , Presentation and Communication skills beside being best in cross functional collaboration with good command in excel management
