Press Operators - Avon, OH - JOB 24-00072Hourly Rate: $16.33 - $20.96/HR +.75 shift premium Permanent Position with Benefits2 nd Shift Hours 3:30pm-12:00amOur client, a Manufacturing company located in Avon, Ohio, is seeking a Press Operator to work on their 2 nd shift operations.Requirements:• High School Diploma or GED• 1-3 years' experience• Must be very detailed oriented.• Ability to use gauges, micrometer, and calipers.• Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal)• Must have good math skills.• Must have a good Mechanical aptitude.• Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision.• Must have good trouble-shooting skills.• Knowledge/Understanding with SPC. (Statistical Process Control)• Must be able to lift 50-60lbs on occasion.• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.• Must be able to work 2nd Shift Hours 3:30pm-12:00amKey Responsibilities:• Tends transfer machine consisting of a series of stations connected by transfer mechanisms that transfer,• position, and secure workpieces and• Perform machining operations such as drilling, boring, tapping, and milling on metal workpieces such as castings and forgings.• Lifts workpiece manually or with a hoist, and places it on holding device, such as a pallet.• Pushes pallet along track into clamping station and starts mechanisms to clamp workpiece on pallet and• transfer it to workstation.• Inspects machined workpieces for surface defects and verifies conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gages and checking fixtures.Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Due to the large amount of resumes we expect to receive only the most qualified candidates will be contacted.
