Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Description

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating 225-ton Bystronic and 150-ton LVD Strippit press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal parts. You will work directly off blueprints and handle 2-5 setups per day, maintaining tight tolerances of +/-1 degree. You will also assist with preventative maintenance for all fabrication equipment used.

Responsibilities

Setup and operate 225-ton Bystronic and 150-ton LVD Strippit press brake machines.

Work with sheet metal thicknesses ranging from 20ga up to 3/8”.

Work directly off blueprints.

Handle on average 2-5 setups per day.

Maintain tolerances of +/-1 degree.

Assist with preventative maintenance for all fabrication equipment used.

Essential Skills

2+ years of press brake operating experience.

Blueprint reading.

Use of shop math for converting between decimals, percentages, and fractions.

Experience with CNC press brake, sheet metal fabrication, and brake press machines.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Possess mathematical problem-solving ability.

Demonstrate appropriate use of various measuring equipment.

Material identification – steel, aluminum, stainless.

Work Environment

Enjoy a positive work environment with ample space and fairly new equipment, including a 225-ton Bystronic press brake. The company is expanding and plans to move into a new building in the future. The position is for the 2nd shift: 4x10 Monday - Thursday from 3 PM - 1:30 AM with overtime available on Friday. Some flexibility is available upon prior agreement with the reporting manager.

Job Type Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Branch, Minnesota.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
