Job descriptionSummary:The Recycling Sorter prepares and sorts materials or products for recycling, sorts assigned product from conveyor line and places in appropriate collection areas. This is a full-time position that works 40 hours a week. We offer full benefits (medical, dental, and vision) paid for by the employer for the employee.

　　This position is for : 1st shift is from 4am to 12:30 and 2nd shift which works Monday-Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Sort materials, such as metals, wood, paper or plastics, into appropriate areas.Able to handle undesirable material, which may be odorous in nature.Clean work areas by sweeping, raking, picking up debris, or moving barrels or bins during and after production.Rotate to different workstations as required to provide relief.Notify management in the event of any condition that may pose a risk to safety including physical, biological, or chemical hazards.Maintains prompt, regular attendance.Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Recycling Supervisor, Director of Operations, or Plant Manager.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

　　While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate(80-90 decibels).Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

　　While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.Job Type: Full-time
