Responsibilities:
Develop project plans including project scope of work and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for complex multi-discipline-based projects
Manage project execution including project scope, schedule, budget, and the project resources including external vendors, consultants, and contractors
Effectively track and stabilize projects, implement solutions to obstacles, and ensure client goals are achieved
Attend client meetings and communicate concerns and changes with the client in order to ensure a positive relationship and growth opportunities
Prepare preliminary designs and budgetary estimates
Lead the development of plans, specifications, studies, estimates, material lists, and other deliverables
Ensure team adherence to QA/QC program
Perform site visits to document existing conditions, including periodic travel throughout North America
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, isometrics, process & instrumentation diagrams, specifications, and system operating procedures
Develop bidding and construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
Apply knowledge of engineering principles to research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements and generate technical reports
Confer with design team to incorporate design information and client standards into the construction documents
Prepare technical reports and correspondence for project designs and studies.
Drive safety initiatives
Responsible for operational efficiency including minimizing outstanding WIP and A/R by ensuring client milestones, budgets and expectations are met.
Assist in preparation and/or monitoring of complex schedules to ensure timely completion of the work
Engages in business development efforts and prepares responses to Requests of Proposals.
Developing and presenting creative strategy and approach for services, offerings, etc., for internal and external clientele Strong writing, documentation, communication, and leadership skills
Potential to supervise and mentor staff as the company grows
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in engineering, environmental, engineering management, business management or similar degree and 8+ years' experience working in the utility-scale power industry managing project execution and delivery across the service center
Experience working within professional services is highly desired
Professional Engineering License or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired
Strong financial acumen
Familiarity with project management tools to successfully manage projects
