Due to our continued success and growth, VES hasan opportunity for a Senior-level Electrical Design Engineer. This is anopportunity to join the VES team for an exciting career on the cutting edge indata storage and server product design.Job Purpose:The Principal Electrical Engineer that will join the Server Development Teamis responsible for Server Design, Design Validation and Test, and ProductSustaining activities. The design processes include product specificationdevelopment, electrical design and schematic capture, DFT and DFMdesign, and PCB and PCA stack-up, placement and layout reviews. Theengineer will participate in design verification and validation, includinggenerating detailed qualification and test reports, and work with theOperations team in the initial release of the product. The Engineer will alsoprovide engineering-level product support to Customers and the Operationsteam. The successful candidate shall be self- motivated, proactive, andhave good communication and customer interaction skills.Nature of Duties:Use your technical knowledge to enable state-of-the-art electrical designswhile meeting program schedule expectationsSchedule tasks and mentor junior engineers and techniciansCreate intellectual property that sets Viking apart from other serverprovidersDrive fabrication partnersto best-in-class performance.Assist in the development of product design requirements and documentationbased on product marketing requirementsDevelop designs that satisfy costs, schedule, functionality, DFT and DFMrequirementsParticipate in design process improvements.Participate as a team member in the complete concept-to-release productdevelopment lifecycleWork closely with System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, SoftwareEngineering and Operations teamsProvide Engineering-level Support for Customers and Operations for new andexisting productsParticipate in continuous improvements in design process, quality, designand support activitiesTravel required to support product manufacturing and component fabrication,as well as onsite support to customersEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering (BSEE) orequivalent qualification12 or more years of relevant product design, product test and developmentExpert knowledge of x86 server architecture, FPGA design, PCIe bus andgeneral Server/Storage architecturesWorking knowledge of high-speed signal design, signal integrity for PCBstack-up and routing reviewsKnowledge of DFT, DFM and Cost optimization processesKnowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout review toolsKnowledge of bus analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, other circuitanalysis tools and equipment.Knowledge of Intel XDP / IDP, margin analysis and design analysis tools isa plusTeam player that works closely with across all Engineering, Management andOperations teamsSalary range: $131,500 - $171,000Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer -M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
