Our lab utilizes cutting-edge microscopy and genetic approaches to identify mechanisms regulating inflammation associated with cardiovascular disease, with special interest in monocyte and macrophage biology in atherosclerotic plaque formation. Experience with animal models of cardiovascular disease or background in immunology is preferred but not required. Qualifications Required Qualifications: PhD in immunology, pathology, physiology, or other related biomedical field. Ability to perform experiments independently with minimal oversight and translate findings in the form of figures and write-ups to the PI. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and animal models of atherosclerosis. Ability to write manuscripts and assist on grant preparation. About the Department The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology centers on integrative systems biology of the heart and vasculature, including the close linkages among cardiovascular diseases and obesity, diabetes and metabolism at the whole animal level.
