rResponsibilities
rThe laboratory of Dr. BrianCoon{target="blank"rel="noopener"} in the Cardiovascular Biology ResearchProgram{target="blank"rel="noopener"} at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) isseeking postdoctoral scientists.
The Coon lab studies the physiological relationship between vascularbiomechanics and homeostasis, and how the disruption of these circuitscontributes to vascular diseases. We are multidisciplinary and welcomeapplicants with diverse backgrounds. After an initial selection period,applicants will be invited to discuss projects that leverage theirscientific interests and technical strengths to address criticalquestions in vascular biology. Examples of our current projects includethe study of - novel mouse genetic models of human diseases, genetic andbiochemical drivers of vascular remodeling, crosstalk betweenmechanotransduction and metabolism pathways, and cell state transitions.
OMRF is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institute. Theinnovative basic and translational research at OMRF covers criticalareas such as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, aging, andcancer. OMRF has made The Scientist magazines annual list of the \"BestPlaces to Work for Postdocs\" for many years. The institute offerspostdoctoral fellows an exceptional research and training environmentwith state-of-the-art facilities and outstanding core technologylaboratories including imaging, next-gen and spatia sequencing, andclinical genomics.
