The PGA of America is moving to Frisco, Texas – the "2018 Best Place to Live in America ” - where it will anchor a 600-acre, mixed-use , golf-centric development , including the golf club, future Omni resort and PGA headquarters . Currently under construction, the golf club will feature two championship golf courses, a 10-hole short course, a two-acre putting course and a 37 -acre practice facility. The future two-story clubhouse will offer golfers and guests alike a 19th hole restaurant, private dining on the second floor overlooking the fairways, upscale lounges and locker rooms and a golf shop designed to entice all levels of fans from PGA tournament players to weekend golfers and other enthusiasts .
Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco Resortis seeking aFood and Beverage Outlet Manager to join our team. Omni Frisco PGA Resort provides north Texas with 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, an extravagant spa and a full entertainment district. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses along with a third short course, we will provide incredible options for our guests and local community for dining, events, and entertainment.
The manager is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures and lead a team of associates to provide memorable experiences to both guests and team members.
Responsibilities
Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management.
Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
Spot check liquor pars.
Order daily supplies.
Follow up on established training steps.
Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
Stay on the floor during peak hours.
Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
Observe, teach and elevate staff’s service.
Monitor each guest experience.
Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
Maintain condition of dining room.
Scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.
Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.
Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
3 years+ leadership experience in a Restaurant General Manager role is highly preferred.
Must have previous experience in a busy, fast paced working environment.
Must have the ability to manage deadlines and support a team.
Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is required
General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.
Must have understanding of beer, wine, and cocktail beverage creation knowledge.
Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC – or obtain upon hire.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance.
