At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do.We are seeking a PAD Outreach Specialist to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA location.Earn $19.89/hourPosition DetailsMerakey's Outreach Specialist in the Police Assisted Diversion (PAD) program work collaboratively with the Philadelphia Police Department and various other City agencies. They can be dispatched for various quality of life emergency calls (i.e. possible overdose, welfare checks, disorderly conduct, etc.) or other non-violent low-level mental health or behavioral health calls. An Outreach Specialist will collect relevant information, perform basic referral functions (complete shelter referral, call to obtain an outpatient appointment) and will perform all duties related to transporting the individual following completion of the diversion.This posting is for FIRST SHIFT W/WEEKEND (Monday - Friday with potential to move to Tuesday - Saturday)BENEFITSMerakey offers Medical, Dental and Vision insurance plans as well as competitive compensation plans. Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least two years behavioral health experience and experience working with the homeless or those with substance use disorders or Domestic Violence survivor.Proficient computer skills to perform job duties including but not limited to desktop computing, email, time sheet management, and electronic health records, using Microsoft Office and Google Applications, and other relevant software.Must have knowledge and an understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service systems.Ability to establish professional relationships with peers.Uphold Merakey standards professional conduct.Knowledge and experience working within Philadelphia forensic system preferred.Driver's license requiredPeer Specialist Certification Preferred
