Plumbing Drafter - Indianapolis, IN
We are actively hiring a Plumbing Drafter to join an Architecture and Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN! This is a multi-discipline team focused on Sustainable Design within the Healthcare and Government Industries, and we are actively hiring due to the continued growth of their business. This Plumbing Drafter will have the ability to specialize in the Design, Installation, Maintenance, and Repair of Plumbing Systems, which can include: Water Supply Networks, Drainage Systems, Sewage Systems, and Fixtures for Healthcare, Government, Residential, Federal, and Education Facilities. This person will work closely with multiple Architecture and Engineering teammates to ensure that buildings have safe and efficient plumbing systems that meet local building codes and regulations. This is a great chance for someone with a couple years of experience to join a growing, stable, collaborative, and creative team while continuing to build their career.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop plumbing system designer within the codes and construction industry
Design Piping and Plumbing systems in a team environment.
Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
Create schematic design reports and scope documents.
Prepare construction documentation, including floorplan drawings, isometric diagrams, equipment and fixture schedules, and specifications.
Prepare design documents appropriate for the project and in accordance with company standards.
Design of appropriate plumbing systems for the project including domestic water, sanitary, storm water, gas, and medical gas systems.
Performing appropriate plumbing related calculations.
Work with the full plumbing staff to identify tasks and assign staffing to complete the plumbing design.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Design-Related Discipline
3+ years of experience in Plumbing Design
Strong Proficiency in Revit Design
Preferred but Not Required - Experience with Healthcare Buildings or Medical Gases
Preferred but Not Required - Certified Plumbing Designer

Recently renovated office that is very up-to-date and modern. This is an open-office environment with high collaboration and a great atmosphere. Teammates interact frequently on-the-job, and cubicles and offices are available as-needed.
This is a first shift position with flexible start times (between 7am and 9am) and end times (between 4pm and 6pm). Employees need to set which hours they intend to work so that times don't change from day-to-day, but they will have the ability to pick their daily schedule based on their needs and preferences.
Candidates may have the ability to work remotely (within commutable distance from downtown Indianapolis) or hybrid depending on experience.
Dress code within the office is Business Casual.
