Reference #: 352712397Bake Rite Rolls is Looking for Platform Loader for our 3rd shift (10:00pm to 6:00am) Platform Loaderplays a crucial role in the efficient loading of products onto trailers, ensuring adherence to load sheets and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This entry-level position requires basic literacy skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a keen eye for detail. The Platform Loader is responsible for moving and loading products, conducting trailer checks, and supporting overall warehouse operations.Role & ResponsibilitiesMove product (stacks or racks) from packaging lines to the appropriate trailer or staging area.Organize product staging areas and lanes to facilitate efficient loading.Load products from the staging area to trailers, ensuring proper stacking and preventing shipment of damaged goods.Remove out-of-code products, check date and price codes regularly and label accordingly.Serve as a break person for other shipping employees on various lines and/or platforms.Work on the platform, including unloading in-bound (purchased) products.Complete paperwork (load sheets, block sheets) with accuracy and neatness.Perform trailer checks, including sweeping and checking for damage, and submit information to the department manager.Inform supervisors in advance of the floor inventory of empty trays and other equipment.Communicate with packaging employees to ensure accurate product counts on each truck, reconciling trailer paperwork to packaging wrap sheets.Safety:Maintain a safe working environment by following safety guidelines and reporting incidents to management.Promote employee safety in all areas of operations.Sanitation:Maintain cleanliness of the work area.Always follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Requirements & Physical DemandsAble to count and perform basic math.Able to read and comprehend department materials and specifically load sheets.Capable of lifting or maneuvering up to 50 pounds.Able to stand for long periods.Able to reach approximately 7 feet high to move product.Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant.Able to view products and determine adherence to quality control standards.Able to read, comprehend, and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.Performance of other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.Top of FormWhat's in it for you?At the H&S Family of Bakeries, we value our team members and make it a priority to offer competitive compensation that encourages longevity with the company and long-term growth.
