Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Design and Release Engineer to join one of our largest defensive clients out of Warren, MI on a hybrid basis. This person will be responsbile for working engineering efforts to mitigate obsolence issues across multiple combat vehicle projects, requiring reverse engineering. This person will not be hands on; they will be interfacing with multiple government and nongovernment entities. They will also be generating scope of works with defined deliverables, tracking the progress of projects (cost, schedule, performance, and working with testing to fitup a prototype to perform necessary testing. This position requires someone who is a go getter and is comfortable no longer being super hands on in the engineering field. They will sit onsite in Warren, MI two days a week, preferably on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience within a background of Electrical or Mechanical background
Experience with reverse engineering
Comfortable working with cross functionally with government and non--government entities
Understanding of Obsolescence
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering filed
Ability to obtain a DoD interim clearance - Active Secret Clearance
Previous ground vehicle experience
Experience working with Magic Draw, SysML, or MBSE tools null
