Ensures all activities to be performed in line with establishedsafety, OSHA, and documented operational procedures and workinstructions in accordance to the Quality Management System and theISO 9000 Quality Principles.Manages and directs all aspects or facility operations through self andstaff members.
Delegates authority and decision making to key direct reports includingEngineering Leader, operations management, maintenance, QualityAssurance and Control, Materials Management, production control,shipping, safety, and other related operations functions. Ensuresaccountability for achievement of assigned goals.
Responsible for the establishment of objectives at both facility andvalue stream level, consistent with company and corporate objectives;development and implementation of a strategic plan to meet theobjectives and the monthly and annual review of the objective results.
Contributes to the development of the facility annual operating budget,the implementation of a plan to achieve budgetary requirements, and themonthly/annual review of budget results along with plant controller.
Assists the plant controller in establishing departmental budgets andensures that the plant\'s management is kept thoroughly informed oncondition of foundry manufacturing equipment, and in general, to producerequired products.
Deliver capital expenditure projects on time, at the projected costand performance measures, and without injury.Ensures efficiency of all operations at the facility and ensures thatall work is performed safely.
Ensures that the facility is properly maintained and follows goodhousekeeping processes.
Ensures that the facility operates in compliance with all governmentalregulatory requirements.
Ensures that all products produced at the facility and shipped tocustomers from the facility meet quality and customer requirements.
Maintains excellent level of communications and employee/laborrelations.
Operates as key member of the value stream leadership team.
Coaches and ensures continued development of direct reports andoperations team members.
Drives, supports and implements continuous improvement practices as partof Company\'s lean manufacturing culture.
Drives and supports implementation of best practices and processimprovements.
Implement operations for improvements and standardization of methods andequipment.
Directs the implementation of new programs, staff functions and redesignsystems that will improve productivity and enhance client satisfaction.
Contributes to personnel decision making, including hiring, correctiveaction and termination decisions, performance evaluation and monitoring,coaching and development, training, and professional development.
Demonstrates highly effective communication, problem-solving skills andthought leadership in a highly professional manner.
Participates in contract negotiations.
Position requires 10-15% travel.

Minimum 10 years\' experience in manufacturing management positionswithin a progressive company environment (Foundry and organized laborenvironment preferred)

Solid understanding and demonstrated experience in driv ng leanmanufacturing methodology.
Demonstrated experience of driving process improvements, processturnaround experience preferred.
Required Education/Experience:
B.A. or B.S. degree in business, engineering, operations, ormarketing; or the equivalentExtensive experience in Operations; Manufacturing; Logistics; Six Sigma/Lean Methodologies
Broad leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:
Foundry management (strongly preferred)Lean applied experiences
Experience in an organized labor environment (strongly preferred)
Working experience in root cause and problem-solving tools such asDMAIC, 8D, A3.Large capital/construction project management experience.Physical Requirements:
