This position is for a Plant Equipment Operator with a company in Picayune.
Summary: PSC Group has an exciting new opportunity for an Industrial Vacuum Truck Technician to join our team and work inside of a growing refinery in the Chalmette, LA area. We are now hiring a technician who will be responsible for helping operate a state of the art, reliable vacuum truck and other heavy equipment. This is a full-time, permanent position. Work Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shifts (Day and Night)
Pay Range: Starting pay $19.00 with opportunity for advancement
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for performance of filter change outs, leaf cleaning, and any cleaning activity surrounding the filters and screens. Operates a pressure washer and maintains basic upkeep. Assists in housekeeping activities for the worksites where changeouts & cleaning activities are performed. Performs JSA's and permitting with the crew and understand safety conditions and hazards. Assists the Vacuum Operator with vacuum functions, hose movements, vacuum truck maneuvering, housekeeping, pre & post trip activities, and general labor requirements of vacuum truck operation. Communicates to the Vacuum Operator and leadership team as needed. Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
Education and Experience: Must possess a Valid TWIC Card & Driver's License (CDL a plus). 1 or more years' experience in a chemical plant, industrial, warehouse, technician or manufacturing work environment is a plus, but not required. 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S. Stable work history with good references from past employers. Pass a background check. PSC is a veteran-friendly. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
