Job Overview :

　　The Piping Designer performs design and engineering process facilities with a moderate degree of supervision and within a specified time while adhering to maintenance, safety and quality standards, consider constructability, economics and operation into account during Pre-FEED, FEED or Detailed Design phases. They develop 3D Models and ensure clash free model in coordination with all other disciplines requirements and apply basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work. They make sure they continue developing skills to efficiently complete repetitive tasks and set priorities, organize own work and time to meet objectives and deadlines set by Lead Piping Designer. The Piping Designer is responsible in keeping Lead / Principal/ Senior Designer appraised of all activities, progress and concerns while supporting Lead / Principal/ Senior Piping Designer in 3D Model Reviews and provide sufficient information to close the Review comments.

　　Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

　　Become familiar with Project Scope of Work, specifications, schedule and inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issue.

　　Identify changes to scope and promptly notify the Lead Piping Designer/ Engineer

　　Develop Plant Design and 3D Modelling and discipline deliverables include Plot Plan, Isometric, Pipe support drawings in accordance with the agreed Scope of Work, man-hours and schedule.

　　Capture Lessons learned and enter them in McDermott System

　　Attend Design Review meetings, Vendor meetings

　　Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with McDermott requirements, Client and Statutory Design Codes, Standards or Procedures with particular focus on Health and Safety Policies.

　　Uses communication skills to exchange ideas and information effectively.

　　Expands skills and knowledge via performing a variety of activities and maintaining appropriate licenses, training and /or certificates as needed.

　　Essential Qualifications and Education:

　　High School graduate with a diploma in Mechanical Design, or Drafting in a related discipline or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications and Education:

　　Good knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD system including E3D or SP3D.

　　Familiar with associated local regulatory environment and international and national industry standards and specifications.

　　Knowledge of Auto lisp Programming, 3D Model creation, Menu and/or Macro compilation skills would be an advantage.

　　Flexible for business travelling
