Responsible for auditing, analyzing, compiling and validating crucialdata. Assists with report development, when necessary. Assists thedepartment director during regulatory surveys. Assists the departmentdirector in special projects.
Responsible for responding to and addressing complaints or concernsraised by patients or patients\' significant others.
Position Responsibilities:
Clinical / Technical Skills (40% of performance review)
?Notification to team of comments from Patient Satisfaction surveys.
?Performs data collection and data entry for HBIPS/IPFQR chartabstraction, data collection and related activities as assigned.
?Reviewing patient charts and extracting data timely.
?Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to navigate the patientrecord.
?Tracking, quantifying, and ensuring monthly metrics are received andreported from each department, including additional programs.
?Assist in gathering, compiling, modeling, and validating data.
?Effectively manage multiple projects.
?Validating data acquisition methods.
?Accurately demonstrates use of database systems to documentoccurrences, medical staff review functions, committee review andactions.
?Assists in compiling reports for committees and administrative team.
?Utilizes information obtained via performance improvement activities toseek and act on opportunities to improve patient care processes.
?Responsible for maintaining current systems to ensure integrity of dataobtained during the varying processes performed in the department.
?Assists the department director during regulatory surveys in obtainingrequested reports and data.
?Assists the department director in assigned special projects.
?Addresses concerns/complaints by patients or patients significantothers in a timely and effective manner.
?Responds to grievances per policy.
?Maintains professionalism and non-judgmental attitude when respondingto complaints or grievances.
?Acts in the best interest of the patient and serves as an advocate forthe patient when concerns arise.
?Investigates the complaint/grievance and involves appropriate hospitalleadership, as necessary.
?Will attend and be a member of the Grievance Committee.
?Will maintain documentation for each complaint and grievance receivedas well as documentation for actions taken.
?Perform other duties as required.
