Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, a free-standing children’s hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a 4th Pediatric Neurosurgeon to join a well-established and growing Pediatric Neurosurgery Team. We provide general and specialized care for the full range of pediatric neurosurgical disorders , including epilepsy , spasticity, movement disorders, craniofacial anomalies, brain tumors, spina bifida, and hydrocephalus. This position provides an opportunity for 100% pediatric practice with any incorporation of care for adult patients at the discretion of the provider.
The new provider will be joining a team of 3 pediatric neurosurgeons, 6.5 APPs , 3 RNs, and 2 MAs . Call is equally shared and would be 1 in 4 with primary coverage by our APP team 24/7 including weekends and holidays. Clinical outreach services are provided in Traverse City (2.5 hours), Lansing (1 hour) and Kalamazoo (1 hour). The group provides subspecialty training in pediatric neurosurgery for the Corewell Health Neurological Surgery Residency Program. Dedicated subspecialty interests, particularly in pediatric complex spine surgery, and a desire to include an academic focus (bench research, translational, or clinical) are welcomed but not required. Surgeons at all career stages are encouraged to apply , including graduating fellows.

Level I trauma center with 234 beds including support from the full range of pediatric specialists including Neurointensivists and Pediatric Trauma Surgery

Collaborative relationship with pediatric plastic surgery, urology, orthopedics, neurology, ENT
Specialty e quipment (in addition to standard surgical equipment) : ROSA robot, Intraoperative MRI, Clear p oint, Stealth Neuronavigation, MEG
Internal and external institutional support for all research interests along with a strong philanthropic community
