The physician liaison will serve as an ambassador for Morris Hospital toemployed, independent, and additional physicians practicing within ourservice area through a versatile role, which includes scheduling andfollowing-up with on-boarding tasks as related to physician retentionactivities. This person will help enhance relationships between MorrisHospital and the physicians located in our service area by supportingthe organization\'s retention efforts through communication of concernsraised by physicians as they relate to hospital operation and physicianrelationship development. The primary focus is physician engagement andretention so to enhance and improve the overall experience for referringphysicians which will ultimately help advance Morris Hospital\'sstrategic goals. This role will also work with advance practiceprofessionals in the same manner, as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Bachelor\'s degree required, preferable in a healthcare, communications,or business management field and current working experience andfamiliarity of healthcare organization\'s network of services,operations, practice of medicine and other economic and clinicalinfluences.
Demonstrates understanding of the business of healthcare and hasfamiliarity with physician recruitment and provider on-boarding andrelation details.
Demonstrates project organizational skills and able to analyze datausing critical thinking skills.
Must be proficient with use of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint &Excel, copy/scan machine, fax machine, calculator. Basic math skillsrequired.
Typing 50+ wpm with extensive computer knowledge, including ability tosolve simple computer problems.
Demonstrate flexibility and be able to multi-task in order to completepriorities independently with minimal oversight. Focuses and respondsproactively to multiple simultaneous requests and inquiries fromproviders. In addition, must also be able to recognize when assistanceis needed if not able to meet deadlines. Able to be a team-player.
Direct experience with working with physicians and driving physicianengagement
Must be professional, confident and have effective interpersonal andcommunication skills, both written and verbal. Strong customer serviceand team orientated required. This person would be considered a \"face\"of Morris Hospital.
Demonstrates strong organizational, listening, and planning skills.
Possesses good follow-up and follow-thru skills. Able to predict andanticipate needs and meet all follow-up tasks in a measureable,timely-manner.

Able to be highly flexible, regarding their availability in varyingsituations, e.g. face-to-face or phone meetings with physicians mayoccur in the early AM or later afternoon/evening depending on their bestavailability. Able to drive as a good portion of time will includetraveling and maintaining a \"mobile\" office.
