About the job:
Pay: $29.00-$31.00 an hour
The Physical Therapist Assistant Provides clinical physical therapy treatmentsfor program participants on acute, restorative and maintenance levels asneeded. Follows the treatment plan as per Registered Physical Therapistassessment and documented care plan.
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirementslisted below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilityrequired. A graduate from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by theAmerican Physical Therapy Association and is currently licensed as a PhysicalTherapist Assistant in the state (if license is available).
Minimum of one-year experience working with the frail or elderly populationrequired
Good working knowledge of physical, psychosocial and behavioral needs of theelderly population.
Able to understand medical terminology and how it applies to physicaltherapy, to communicate with participants, staff, IDT and physicians,and how to prepare meaningful reports
Ability to communicate with the participants to establish favorable attitudeto motivate the participants to desired cooperation and effort in his/herrehabilitation developmentMust have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means oftransportation
Essentials:
