Hartford Hospital Inpatient Rehab Unit Don’t miss the opportunityto be a part ofour state-of-the-art Inpatient Rehab Unit within Hartford Hospital. All 26 beds are in private inpatient rooms giving our patients access to ongoing acute medical management, 24 hour rehabilitative nursing care and the latest rehab techniques. Our dedication to delivering personalized coordinated care coupled with the healing environment offered by this new unit will shorten length of stay and allow our patients a quicker and healthier return to home. Position Overview 16 hours per month requirement, one 8 our shift has to be on the weekend; other 8 hours can be weekend or weekday depending on need/availability We’re seeking a per diem Physical Therapist (PT) to be part of an experienced team that brings decades of experience in providing the most innovative care.This position will treat patients with all diagnoses with a focus on stroke, traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, as well as other neurological conditions. Our Inpatient Rehab Unit features a collaborative interdisciplinary team atmosphere and approach to patient care.This is a great opportunity to work in a special inpatient rehab setting, while still having access to the opportunities and benefits available in a system with a full continuum of rehab care. The Physical Therapist administers medically prescribed Physical Therapy treatments to patients. Independently evaluates patient’s level of function, determines treatment strategies, and delivers and/or delegates Physical Therapy services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, prescription of exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. · Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred. · Graduate of Physical Therapy Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master’s degree. · Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) required.
