About Physical Therapist ED

　　Physical Therapist: Responsible for evaluating, planning, directing and administering physical therapy services in an acute care setting. Caseload includes primarily adult population with variety of medical, orthopedic and neurological diagnosis. Requirements: + Perform evaluations when formally consulted if medically appropriate. + Screen for falls risk patients, ambulation trials, crutch/DME training, vertigo, etc. + Provide assistance for restless patients including ambulation/toileting/de-escalation techniques as appropriate. + Assist with car transfers for discharging patients. + Assist in turn over of stretchers/rooms in times of high census. Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. NC PT License required. CPR Certification required.
