Job Description:This position is responsible for screening, testing,evaluating, diagnosing and treatment of injuries, diseases, anddisabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordancewith standard physical therapy practices. The Physical Therapist consults,educates, and trains patients and their caregivers.
Scope
Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
Develops plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and itsanticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic andat home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. May use variousmodalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptiveequipment and support programs. Help to restore physical function, improvemobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability.
Determines patients ability to be independent and reintegrate into theworkplace or community after injury or illness.
Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides byservice behavior standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required
Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required Basic LifeSupport (BLS) is required
One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred
Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred

Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled businesshours or scheduled shifts is required
Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications.

A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast pacedenvironment.
