Responsibilities
The Mayo Clinic Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced, full-time Physiatrist to join a highly-skilled, multidisciplinary team of physicians, physical therapists and occupational therapists.
The candidate to fill this position will work on the Mayo Clinic Florida campus primarily in the outpatient clinics to provide state of the art rehabilitation care and non-interventional treatment for patients with spine problems, neurological disorders, and medical/rehabilitation needs.This position will assist to support a growing neuroscience and spine practice, transplant services, and comprehensive cancer center by working in multi-disciplinary clinics and programs with these services. Clinical responsibilities will also include occasional coverage of the acute inpatient consultation service at Mayo Clinic Florida Hospital to assist with disposition and direction of next levels of care.

The Department of PM&R consists of seven board certified Physiatrists with a long-standing history of providing outpatient consultations for spine, musculoskeletal/sports, neurological and cancer-related problems, and has recently developed an inpatient consultation service to assist with providing rehabilitation care to the patients with functional and medical problems seen at Mayo Clinic Florida. Candidates must be Board-Certified/Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and besides having a strong interest in the treatment of these clinical populations, will also have interest in teaching and research opportunities, as well as contributing to the recently ACGME accredited PM&R residency program that will accept its first class in July 2024.

Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida. Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
