　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　The primary function of the Phlebotomist is to obtain blood specimens from patients as ordered by the licensed healthcare provider, label the specimen appropriately and distribute to the laboratory department for testing,

　　The Phlebotomist is knowledgeable in app aspects of the pre-analytical phase of laboratory testing including specimen rejection criteria,

　　This position maintains the inventory of supplies required for specimen collection and disposes specimen collection needles and supplies safely,

　　The Phlebotomist assists laboratory technologists and clerical staff and also utilizes multiple computer systems in the performance of phlebotomy,
