Job Summary The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe and accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices. Demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on exceptional patient experience and quality outcomes. Education: High School graduate or equivalent Experience: *Experience or training which will support minimum on-the-job training to perform the required duties. Keyboarding/data entry experience. One (1) year relevant work experience preferred. *Licensure, Certification, Registration: *National Certification (NCCT or ASCP) or equivalent preferred. *Language Skills: *Effective communication in English language both written and verbal. Secondary language preferred. *Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements • Knowledge of venipuncture techniques • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude • Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems • Continuous improvement mindset • Ability to handle different patient population including pediatric and geriatric • Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills • Ability to operate required lab equipment including pneumatic tube We take great care of careers.
