This includes collaborating and leading on interviewing and hiring decisions, training and onboarding, assessments and evaluations, maintenance of competency and comfort by staff, staff scheduling, and covering holes and call offs. The Technician Supervisor will assist the pharmacy staff in the performance of dispensing medications, including compounding sterile and non-sterile products, nonhazardous drugs, filling unit-dose carts, floor stock orders, technology dispensing equipment, medication orders, and timely delivery of medications, as needed. The Technician Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of services provided by pharmacy technician and transporter, assuring compliance with practice standards, and chairing department committees to meet the Department?s goals. A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesActs as hiring manager in conjunction with Pharmacy Administration in hiring new technician and transporter staff.Coordinates orientation and onboarding for new staff with Pharmacy Administration.Develops and reviews orientation and onboarding guidelines, timeframes, and evaluations and works on continually improving orientation and training content with Pharmacy Technician Educators. Conducts 90-day and annual performance evaluations and goal-setting for direct reports including pharmacy technicians and transporters.Creates and reviews the technician schedule.
