Description:
Pharmacy Technician will join a team of 12 in an Infectious Disease specialty pharmacy. The patient population is largely made up of HIV patients, with recurring medications.
Duties:
Prescription refill reminder calls to patients
Answering phones from patients and addressing questions
Assisting with insurance / Medicaid questions
Handle prior authorizations
Registering new patients
Filling scripts
Packaging and organizing shipments
Managing inventory of medications
Skills:
Pharmacy Technician
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician License - must
If not a Certified Pharm Tech before hire, must be studying and scheduled to take the exam before given an offer
Experience with customer service or patient care - 1 year minimum
1 year of pharm tech experience
Preferred:
Specialty or closed-door experience - 1 year
